Art works produced under the name of Harry Photocopy, having worked in the past as a 'gonzo' street artist with the Zafari Art collective. Zafari Art, well known in Adelaide during the 1980's were specialists in the self proclaimed genre of 'feral art' - domestic gone wild. Painted cars and re-purposed car parts were Zafari's preferred canvases and reactionary social politics were their themes.
Harry Photocopy now paints in a more subdued manner using contemporary popular icons procured through junk mail as his inspiration. |
